Reasonable and feasible suggestions on finished products lead to modifications; and modifications lead to the changes on the product cfl file. In order to update modified products to the latest version, you need to clear you IVMU cache to reload it. But it can be very time-consuming if you clear all your cache to upgrade one product.
Here we offer you the way to clear specific product cache instead of clearing all your IMVU cache. ^^
Please follow these steps:
- First, close the IMVU chat program
- Go to C:\Documents and Settings\"YOUR USER NAME"\Application Data\IMVU
- If you don't see the Application Data folder, you will need to go in to Tools/Folder Options. Click on the "View" tab and put the dot in "Show hidden files and folders" in the Advanced Settings section.
- Delete the productAUTH.pickle, inventory.cache, myInventory.pickle, and productCflChecksum.pickle.
- Open the "Product Files" folder here and delete the ProductXXXXXX.cfl file where XXXXXX is the product number of the item you are updating
- Close this folder
- Open IMVU, and load the product. It should be updated.
This method also works on every one or more product cache(s) you want to clear.
